Now that Vietnam has adopted a ‘new normal’ approach, accepting that a ‘zero covid’ approach is no longer feasible at present, VSLC has updated its COVID-19 policy to reflect the current environment and to ensure that our courses are carried out safely.
Our COVID Protection Policy
You can book with confidence with VSLC:
- In the event that guidance changes and VSLC is required to cancel a public course, your booking will be transferred to a future course date. If you are unable to attend a future course date, a full refund will be offered.
- In the event that you test positive for COVID-19 prior to a public course, you may transfer your booking to a future course. If you are unable to attend a future course, VSLC will offer a full refund.
Course Safety Regulations
VSLC has put in place the following policy for all course participants:
- Participants attending VSLC courses should take a rapid antigen test within 24 hours of the course wherever possible.
- Participants attending VSLC courses must not currently be categorised as ‘F1’ as defined by Vietnam’s Ministry of Health.
- Participants attending all VSLC courses must wear a properly fitted face mask at all times in the course wherever possible. Face masks may be removed where it is essential for course practical activities.
- Participants should not attend a VSLC course if they have current COVID-19 symptoms (a fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, fatigue, etc).
In addition to the measures outlined above for participants, we have also put in place the following measures to reduce risk:
- VSLC trainers and support staff attending courses will take a rapid antigen test at least 24 hours prior to each course.
- CPR manikins and any shared practical equipment will be disinfected with ethanol prior to each course participant using it (with the exception of water rescue equipment used in chlorinated pools / open water).
- Alcohol based hand wash and single use gloves will be made available to course participants.
Our mission is to deliver the highest standard first aid, lifesaving and swimming teaching training courses in Vietnam in order to save lives from medical emergencies, injury and aquatic emergencies. We are committed to continuing to operate our training courses in the safest possible way in the current context, and in line with current government regulations.
If you would like further advice on the COVID-19 pandemic we recommend you follow advice from the Vietnam Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. If you have any questions about our courses please do not hesitate to contact us.
