VSLC was founded in 2017 and is a leading provider of lifesaving, first aid and swimming teacher training in Vietnam. We offer a range of UK endorsed, international standard qualifications designed to train both individuals and organisations to the highest standards.
Our Mission
The Vietnam Swimming & Lifesaving Company is committed to developing the highest standards of swimming teaching, first aid and lifesaving in Vietnam with the aim of improving water safety, improving first response and reducing drowning.
Our Qualifications
Our qualifications reflect best practice in first aid, swimming teaching and lifesaving. They are designed to be comprehensive and prepare candidates for the reality of each discipline. Many of our qualifications are UK endorsed, and all are taught in line with European Resuscitation Council Guidelines.

Our Community Work
VSLC is committed to preventing drowning and improving first response skills in Vietnam.
To achieve our mission, we offer:
- Significantly discounted training services to registered non-profit organisations and community groups.
- Free technical advice and training to non-profit and community groups working to reduce drowning in Vietnam.
We actively support registered INGO Hue Help’s Swimming for Safety programme by providing training equipment and qualified trainers. This charity programme works with local and national authorities in Vietnam to reduce child drowning through implementing survival swimming programmes and water safety education.

VSLC is a Full Member of the International Federation of Swimming Teacher’s Associations (IFSTA) – a globally recognised body with over 20 members from around the world.
Swimming Teacher’s Association (UK)
We work in partnership with the UK’s Swimming Teacher’s Association to deliver our industry leading lifesaving and first aid courses. The STA was founded in 1932, is internationally recognised and has over 10,000 active members.
National Partners
Vietnam Aquatics Sports Association (VASA)
Our technical team work to support VASA with the development of national lifeguarding training programmes in Vietnam, and our lead master trainers are qualified VASA lifeguard trainers.
